Why are people so afraid of the word "socialism"?

Because socialism would mean those who have lower-skill jobs get to take from those who have higher skill and higher intellect jobs and to coin a phrase, that's not "fair". Some people go to school for years and am knowledge from that time, why shouldn't they get paid more than someone who has read only the instruction manual to his jackhammer as a tutorial for his job? If you want more money, get a better job, Don't try to steal it from someone who already did that.
