In Mumford & Sons White Blank Page lyrics...?

Some lyric sites have "You did not think when you sent me to the break, the break" and others have "brink" and "grave" instead of break....Does anyone know what they are actually saying? I find it hard to tell when listening to them. And I was curious, thanks! :)
