How do you clean your horse stuff....?

without putting it in the washer? I've been banned from using our washer (*sob), because the metal is scratching up the inside. I can use it for my brushes, saddle pad, etc, but i can't put his lead rope or girth or anything with metal in there. I'm most concerned about my girth..it's fleece, so it gets really dirty and needs to be washed often. but if i just attack it with a hose, it gets super heavy and i can't hold it up and hose it at the same time. also, my nylon halter needs washing, but i can't put that in the washer either...how do you wash your stuff? I have a pressure washer i can use, if that helps LOL.
