Christian creationists: If you accept Jesus Christ, does it matter to God whether..?

No, belief in evolution, although incompatible obviously with the Book of Genesis, has nothing to do with salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Some Christians interpret genesis allegorically and try to allow for evolutionary mechanisms, although I really see that as strange. Nonetheless, belief in evolution is biological; salvation by Christ is theological. Personally, I never jump into the creation/evolution debates even though I'm well informed about the theory of evolution. I see it as a waste of time at least for me. As long as a person accepts Jesus Christ, I never even ask them if they believe in evolution, or the Big Bang, or in an old earth as they have nothing to do with the gospel whatsoever.
