PLEASE HELP!!! Why won't my computer Play Sound!?

Interesting! You say you DON'T have on-board sound...I then have to ume you have an aftermarket sound "Card"! you need the drivers from that manufacture. If it was one of those eMachine combo cards (modem & sound) you have to get instructions from eMachine for that...its kinda tricky! If your CPU is not 64bit the 64bit OS wont help you. Your sound card may not be 64bit capable...not every sound device works, at present, in 64bit. most new items that need drivers will have the option of 32/64bit drivers and XP/vista/Win7
