How do I get my stick of CL3 DDR PC3200 Ram to work with my Acer AS T160 Desktop. (AMD Athlon 64 3500+) ??

I stuck in the stick, and my computer won't even boot up. Is this Ram (cl3) incompatible with Athlon 64 3500+ ?? Is it possible to change my settings in the bios so it recognized it? (from cl2 to cl3) Or perhaps the ram is faulty? Thanks everyone.
