It's a subconscious thing that he doesn't realise doing, i mean how often do we keep track of when we touch someone. Or it could that he's doing it on purpose. As far as him liking you that's hard to tell, what's obvious if you are developing a liking for him. Why don't you do the same back to him. As of no you are reading too much into it, but if you like him why wait for confirmation. Make you move.
