What will happen if made a promise to God and failed to keep it?

What happens when you fail to keep a promise you made with God. like the promise kinda went like this. (please heal this person if you do ill do this.) and you said it out of desperation. and you kept the promise for a while then just forgot about it. What will happen? and how do i make it right with God? Help?
