Mycar wont start 1997 plymouth neon?

I have a 1997plymouth neon expresso. the problem is it was running fine all day i went to start it and it turns over but does not start the lights work and so does everything else the alternater and battery are fine i am not sure about the starter? i need help!!!please someone
