Does height matters when entering the Nurse Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines?
I'm a Registered Nurse from the Philippines, not boasting but I'm one of the cream of the crops when I graduated in one of the best nursing schools in my country. When I took the nursing board examination last December 2006 I even managed to make it on the top notchers' list that made my alma mater, batch mates, friends and my family as well to be very proud of me. I decided to practice my profession in a known government hospital in our region and even volunteered as a nurse trainee in a military hospital. I was so interested in entering the Nurse Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines that even the Chief Nurse of the Military Hospital would highly recommend me because of my intellect and skills, in which I think would allow me to make immediate contribution to the said organization. The problem was I was just 5'3.5 feet tall and the required height for male was 5'4''. I guess it would be so unfair if that would be the basis in selecting the applicants to be a part of the Nurse Corps.
